Gut-loading

Gut-loading is feeding your feeder insects a nutritious diet for 24–48 hours before offering them, so the nutrients pass on to your amphibian.

A cricket is only as nutritious as what's inside it. Gut-loading with fresh greens and a quality commercial feed turns "empty" feeders into a proper meal, and works alongside calcium dusting to prevent deficiencies.
