All toads have dry, warty skin. In Florida, for example, the native southern toad has crests like ridges or horns above its eyes and a small oval gland behind each eye, while a cane toad has no crests above its eyes and a larger, triangular gland, so confirm the ID before you act. — Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission · UF/IFAS Extension

“Toads give you warts.”
