Water hardness & pH

Also called: GH · KH · pH

Water hardness (GH/KH) and pH describe the mineral content and acidity of tank water — parameters that matter because amphibians like axolotls need moderately hard, stable, near-neutral water.

GH is general hardness (minerals), KH is carbonate hardness (which buffers pH and stops swings), and pH is acidity. Very soft water or a crashing pH stresses aquatic amphibians. The water interpreter reads your test and tells you what to fix.
