Isopods

Isopods are small land crustaceans (like woodlice / roly-polies) used in bioactive vivariums to break down waste and dead plant matter, and as an occasional calcium-rich feeder.

Species like dwarf white and powder-blue isopods are popular cleanup-crew members. They need a bit of leaf litter and calcium to thrive, and pair with springtails to keep an enclosure clean.
