Captive-bred vs wild-caught

Captive-bred (CB) animals are born in captivity, while wild-caught (WC) animals are taken from the wild — and for amphibians, captive-bred is almost always the kinder, healthier, more sustainable choice.
Wild-caught amphibians are stressed, often carry parasites or disease, may be illegal to take, and their removal harms wild populations already under pressure. Captive-bred animals are hardier, better adjusted, and don't drain wild numbers.
It is why "captive-bred over wild-caught" is one of Bognook's core principles — better for you and for the frogs.
