Quarantine

Quarantine is housing a new or sick amphibian separately, in a simple bare setup, for several weeks before it goes near your other animals — to catch disease before it spreads.

A quarantine tub is kept minimal (paper towel or bare bottom, easy to clean and disinfect) so you can watch for parasites, infection or chytrid. It protects your whole collection and is standard good practice with every new arrival.
