About this design
A leucistic axolotl strikes a proud, upward hero pose, haloed by a sunburst with a bold banner beneath it.
The joke: an axolotl that refuses to grow up, and is proud of it, posed like the hero of an old heroic poster but drawn in cottagecore, the Bognook house style.
The real animal: Unlike most salamanders, an axolotl really does stay in its larval form for life, keeping its feathery external gills and finned tail as a fully grown adult. (Source: Animal Diversity Web)
About this t-shirt
The design was drawn for Heather Mint, so its colours are planned around this one shirt colour.
On a light shirt like this one the ink sits in the fabric, with no white layer underneath the way dark shirts need, so the print stays soft.
In Heather Mint the Bella+Canvas 3001 is a blend of 52% cotton and 48% polyester.
