Privacy
We collect only what we need to take your payment, make your order and get it to you. We don't sell your personal data, there are no accounts, and we don't run advertising trackers on the shop. Last updated 23 October 2026.
Who we are
Bognook Shop is the print-on-demand shop of Bognook. It is run by one person, Edy Gunawan, trading as Bognook, from Medan, Indonesia. Edy Gunawan is responsible for the personal data described here. You can reach us at hello@bognook.com; a real person reads it.
This page covers the shop (the pages under bognook.com/shop). Questions about the rest of Bognook are best sent to the same address.
What we collect, and why
While you browse
- Your cart and "saved for later" list, and your chosen delivery country. These live only in your own browser (localStorage). They are not sent anywhere until you ask for prices or check out, and they disappear if you clear your browser's site data.
- Where you came from. The first time you visit, your browser stores the campaign tags in the link (for example utm_source), the name of the site that sent you, the first page you saw and the time. It stays in your browser. It reaches us only if you place an order, so we can see which channels bring buyers.
- Prices and shipping. To work out prices, the sticker bundle and shipping, the cart sends our server the items, sizes, quantities and your delivery country. Nothing in that says who you are.
When you check out
- Your email address, to send your order emails and to find your order again on "Check my order".
- Your full name and delivery address, to print and post your order.
- What you ordered and what you paid (items, sizes, totals, shipping, any sticker bundle discount), plus your order number and the PayPal payment references.
- Your choice on the "send me new designs" box. It is unticked unless you tick it.
- The first-touch details above, sent with the order.
- Parcel details once your order ships: carrier, tracking number and tracking link.
We save your email, name and address when you press the pay button, before the payment is finished. If you don't finish paying, we mark the order cancelled after 48 hours, but the details we saved are still in our records until we remove them (see "How long we keep it").
We do not see or store your card number. Payment is handled by PayPal.
After you order (optional)
The thank-you page asks two optional questions, "Where did you hear about us?" and "Is this a gift?". If you answer, we save the answer with your order. If you pick "other" and type something, we save that text too.
Technical records
Our order system keeps a short log for each order (for example "payment received", "sent to the printer", "shipped", "email sent") so we can fix problems. These records do not contain card details. The shop and its order system run on Cloudflare, which, like any host, may keep basic technical logs of requests (such as IP address and browser type) for security and performance. We don't use these to profile you.
Who we share it with
We share your data only with the companies that do a job for your order:
- PayPal takes the payment. We send it your order's items and amounts, your email, your name and delivery address, and our order number. Later we send it your parcel's carrier and tracking number. PayPal handles any card you enter under its own privacy terms.
- Printify gets your order made and posted. We send it your name and delivery address and the items to print. We do not send it your email address or a phone number. Printify passes what it needs to the print partner that makes your item and to the carrier that delivers it.
- Brevo sends our order emails (the confirmation and the "it has shipped" email). It receives your email address, your name and the content of those emails, which includes your delivery address and items.
- Cloudflare hosts the shop and stores our order records (name, email, address and order details) in its database. We also count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify you: it tells us how many people looked at which page, not who they are.
- Google Fonts. Our pages load their fonts from Google, so your browser contacts Google's servers when a page opens, which shares your IP address with Google.
- PayPal's checkout script. On the checkout page your browser loads PayPal's payment buttons from paypal.com. PayPal may set its own cookies and collect its own technical data there, under its own terms.
If the law or a court requires it, we may have to share information with the authorities. We don't sell your personal data, and we don't pass it to anyone for their own advertising.
We email you about your order: a confirmation, and a message when each parcel ships. These are service emails and you don't need to opt in.
We only email you about new designs if you tick the box at checkout. We keep a record of your choice with your order. If you change your mind, email hello@bognook.com and we will stop.
Cookies and browser storage
We don't set cookies of our own. The shop stores a few items in your browser instead:
- localStorage (stays until you clear it): your cart, your saved items, your delivery country and the first-touch details above.
- sessionStorage (gone when you close the tab): your checkout progress, including the email and address you typed, until the order is placed; and a short summary of your last order for the thank-you page.
You can clear any of this in your browser's settings. The shop still works if your browser blocks storage, but the cart won't be remembered. PayPal and Google may set their own cookies when their content loads (see above).
How long we keep it
We keep only what each stage needs:
- A checkout that was never paid is deleted completely 30 days after it was started.
- A paid order keeps your email and delivery address for two years, so we can answer questions, handle misprints, refunds and payment disputes. After two years our system removes your email address, your street address, city and postcode, and the parcel tracking.
- What stays after that is the sales record our tax law requires us to keep for 10 years: your name, your state or province and country, what you bought, what you paid and when.
You can ask us to remove your details sooner (see below). Browser storage stays on your device until you clear it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you, and send you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your personal data;
- stop emailing you about new designs.
Email hello@bognook.com from the address you ordered with, and include your order number. We may need to confirm it is really you before we act. Some order details (for example payment records) we may have to keep for tax or legal reasons; if so, we'll tell you which and why, and we'll remove the rest. Once an order has gone to Printify, a copy of the delivery address sits with Printify and its partners; deleting our copy doesn't remove theirs, but you can ask them directly under their own policies.
If you live somewhere with a privacy regulator and you are unhappy with how we handled your request, you can complain to it. We would like the chance to put it right first.
Sending your data abroad
We run the shop from Indonesia. Our service providers (PayPal, Printify, Brevo, Cloudflare and Google) and our print partners work in other countries, including the United States, so your data is handled outside your own country. We only send what each company needs to do its job (see above).
Children
The shop is not aimed at children and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you think a child has given us their details, email us and we will delete them.
Changes to this page
If we change what we collect or who we share it with, we'll update this page and its date at the top before the change goes live.
